Passionate about running? Like to organize events? Love working with people? Join our team!  The Berbee Derby is looking for a 2022 Race Director and Headquarters Project Manager.

The Race Director position has overall responsibility for the success of the Berbee Derby. We need someone who is self-motivated, good with people and detail-oriented. You would start immediately for the upcoming year to work closely with the current Race Director.

Race Director job requirements include:

  • Regular/part-time: 10 hrs per week*, flexible work hours
  • Available Thanksgiving week and Thanksgiving Day
  • Some college education required
  • Work autonomously but with the support of a long-time team
  • Must be comfortable taking initiative
  • Must be proactive in working with the public

This position also assists the setting up the Berbee Derby Headquarters, Packet Pick-Up and Race Day implementation.

The Headquarters Project Manager job includes:

  • Part-time: 10+ hrs per week from October 7 – December 7, flexible work hours
  • Available Thanksgiving week and Thanksgiving Day
  • Manage volunteer data system and personnel
  • Manage arrival of shipments and coordinating set-up of headquarters
  • Some manual labor involved—moving boxes, tables, etc.
  • Ability to work well with others and take direction
